Energize your Life.

“If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” - Nikola Tesla

Whether you’re interested in finding the secrets to the universe or just having a bit more energy to get through your day – think Qi.

Let’s talk Qi (also sometimes referred to as Chi or Ki).

According to Taoist theory, Qi is the dynamic force that circulates, motivates, and activates our life expression… What’s not to love about that?

Three ways to access and increase your life force:

Qing Qi

Also known as Heavenly Qi is the vital force of the breath.

The Taoist teach that every time we take a breath of fresh air we are breathing in the heavens. Qing Qi is our source of clarity, focus, and inspiration.

Having some writer’s block?

Feeling low energy and stagnant and longing for a breath of fresh air in your life?

Step outside to enjoy a few deep breaths in the open air and feel the difference.

Zhong Qi

Also known as Central Qi is the energy that arises from the belly and is created through the ways in which we nourish ourselves. Zhong Qi is the command center of the belly/ brain connection and provides the motivation for our thoughts and actions to come to fruition.

Find yourself perseverating on ideas and past events?

Overwhelmed because you have bitten off more than you can chew?

If so, then clearing and nourishing your Central Qi by simplifying your diet for a bit and engaging some deep belly breaths is an instant reset.

Yuan Qi

Also known as Ancestral Qi is the sacred Gate of Vitality residing in the lower belly. Yuan Qi is considered to be our savings account inherited at birth which we can add to or deplete by lifestyle choices. In current culture we joke that sex drugs and rock and roll deplete the Yuan Qi. In truth it has just as much to do with over working, over playing, over giving, over consuming… You get the idea; too much of a good thing depletes this precious energy account that is meant to be accessible for us as elders.

Rest is the best medicine for replenishing the wellspring of your Yuan Qi.

Also, taking a few minutes to stand or sit outside while softly breathing in the dark night sky is a Taoist technique for connecting the Gate of Vitality with the Gate of Heavenly Qi.

Qi is energy and energy is everywhere; our breath, our thoughts, our choices can all become a powerful daily dose of YES.
