We’re at the dawn of a longevity revolution unlike any in human history, and women are leading the way, living an average of six years longer than men. It’s an exciting time, with many upsides, but there’s still work to be done, as our longevity bonus currently has a huge downside. According to an analysis of data from the World Health Organization’s Global Health Observatory, the average woman in the United States will spend the last 12 years of her life in a cascade of poor health. Our healthspan and lifespan are out of sync, and it’s seriously and unnecessarily limiting our physical, mental, financial, and social-emotional well-being as we live longer lives.

I’m a proud midlife activist. No life stage is more derided than this period of life. It’s the Rodney Dangerfield of life stages: “it don’t get no respect.”
Joined at the hip, head, and heart, my co-founders Christine, Jaff and I have been dreaming about this day for maybe a half-dozen years. We imagined we might grow beyond our Baja beachfront campus one day.
Chip’s Note: A few months ago, Day’s workshop was one of our most popular in 2023 and got some of our highest ratings.
Chip’s Note: I love Thérèse and it’s been quite enlightening to see her evolution over the past three years.
Chip's note: Last year, I co-led a successful Blue Zones workshop with BZ founder Dan Buettner. Dan was so pleased with the experience that he suggested that his organization create a three-year partnership with MEA. Céline will be the lead faculty member along with our MEA-trained facilitators. We’re proud of this partnership since Blue Zones is arguably the best-known longevity company in the world.
