You missed out!

As seen in

You know that uncomfortable, disorienting feeling when a major part of your life shifts, and you can barely tell which way is up?

It’s confusing. It’s isolating. Sometimes it can be downright terrifying.

You can't see the path ahead, the familiar landmarks are gone, and every step feels uncertain.

And in midlife, these changes come faster and hit harder than at any other time of life.

What's shifting for you right now?

  • Your relationships are changing, ending, or asking more of you
  • You’re retiring, rethinking work, or facing a career shift
  • Your child has left home, returned home, or needs support in a new way
  • You’re caring for aging parents, a partner, or another loved one
  • You’re grieving the loss of someone, something, or some version of your life
  • Your health, energy, body, or mood feels less predictable
  • Your social circle is shifting
  • You're noticing “brain fog” you can't quite explain
  • You've been experiencing shifts in your mood, outlook, or emotional wellbeing
  • You feel caught between what ended and what hasn't yet taken shape

How many boxes

did you check?

These aren’t just big changes, they're major life transitions. Each one has the potential to rock your world and leave you reeling. And in midlife, most of us are facing many of them – all at once.

Without a framework to guide you through these shifts, you risk staying stuck in the fog for months, or even years.

Many people find themselves:
  • Feeling like life is happening to them instead of something they’re consciously creating
  • Struggling to stay afloat in the midst of constant change overwhelm
  • Avoiding hard realities, only to watch the problems pile up
  • Making hasty decisions they later regret, just to escape discomfort
  • Feeling stuck and unable to find their way forward to the life they want
  • Pulling away from people right when connection would help the most
  • Watching their confidence erode as they start to doubt their ability to handle any of it
  • Missing the very opportunities transitions can offer because they’re just trying to survive the day-to-day

When you don't understand that transitions follow a predictable pathway with recognizable stages, you're navigating these life-changing challenges blind.

You might cling to endings that really need to happen – or rush into new beginnings before you’re ready – just to get out of the discomfort. Or you treat the natural confusion of the messy middle as proof you’ve failed somehow and beat yourself up for struggling, when in fact you’re having a very normal response to this stage of a transition.

The problem is, no one ever taught us how to move through transitions.

We weren’t told that they follow a predictable pathway, with recognizable stages and emotions.

So when you feel disoriented, anxious or stuck, it’s easy to assume something is wrong – with you, with your choices, or with your ability to handle what life is throwing at you.

But what if these feelings don't mean you're lost or broken?

What if they’re simply signs that you’re in a completely natural process of transition – one that everyone goes through in this season of life, and that carries real opportunities alongside the challenges you already know too well?

A proven navigation system for life’s biggest shifts.

At MEA, we’ve built a Transitional Intelligence framework – a practical “navigation system” that shows you the stages of a transition and what each one is asking of you. It’s how you stop feeling blind in the fog and start moving through big changes with more understanding and less panic.

In our six-week online immersion, Navigating Transitions Online, you’ll use this framework to look at the transitions you’re in right now and build a personal roadmap you can return to for the rest of your life.

MEA's Kari Cardinale will introduce you to our Transitional Quotient™ Assessment and guide you through a deep-dive exploration of your own transitions – so you leave not just inspired, but equipped with tools you can use in any future change.

The program’s flexible hybrid format makes it easy to fit into your real life, whatever your schedule and wherever you live. You’ll explore on-demand video content at times that work for you, then join highly engaging 90-minute live events each week to connect with Kari and other like-hearted midlifers from around the world who are navigating similar shifts.

You’ll master the essential skills to:

  • Map what’s changing across the six pillars of your life – so you can see exactly where transition is happening and how it’s affecting you
  • Locate yourself on the path by recognizing which of the three stages of transition you’re in and what to expect, so you can navigate with confidence instead of confusion

  • Use the 3-Step TQ Compass to move forward when you feel completely stuck and can’t see the path ahead
  • Give yourself permission to feel what you're feeling and learn how to process those emotions instead of pushing them down or judging yourself for having them
  • Spot your Triple Threats – the internal and external resistance that keep your inner compass spinning and make it hard to lock on your “True North”
  • Notice and trust the subtle signals (your “glimmers”) that guide you through uncertainty and quietly point toward what’s next
  • Discover your Signature Transitional Quotient™ – your unique approach to navigating transitions so you can apply these skills to any future change that comes your way
  • Build a personal roadmap for moving from stuck to thriving, with practical tools you’ll use every time life shifts again

If you’re tired of guessing your way through change, this gives you a map, a method, and like-minded people who understand the terrain.

Here’s what our six weeks together will look like:

Week 1

TQ Method & Psychological Transitions

After decades of career pressures, raising kids, and juggling everyone else's needs, it's easy to feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck. Week 1 gives you a clear-eyed look at what's driving those feelings – and the psychological foundation to shift them.
  • Identify the psychological blocks standing in your path to happiness, and use proven exercises to build your awareness and confidence.
  • Gain practical tools to navigate difficult emotions instead of suppressing, judging, or avoiding them.
  • Pinpoint the old habits keeping you feeling life-weary or cynical, and start permanently loosening their grip.
  • Connect with your cohort in a way that immediately feels meaningful and safe, skipping the surface-level small talk entirely.
Week 2

Purpose Transitions

In your earlier years, purpose was mostly about proving yourself professionally, financially, and personally. By midlife, that naturally changes. This week, we examine how purpose matures – and what you want to do with that shift.
  • Understand the natural evolution of purpose as you move through different life stages.
  • Explore the eight pathways of awe with renowned researcher Dacher Keltner.
  •  Notice how your initial fears are already resolving, leaving you with a clearer sense of your next steps.
  • Clarify exactly how you want to share your gifts and hard-earned wisdom with the world going forward.
Week 3

Personal Transitions

There's a crucial difference between a change (something that happens to your environment) and a transition (how you grow on the inside in response). Week 3 is where that distinction becomes intensely personal.
  • Identify which of the six transition pillars you're moving through right now using our comprehensive self-assessment.
  • Map your location in the three predictable stages every transition follows – so you know exactly what this season is asking of you.
  • Process your current experience emotionally, not just intellectually, using guided journaling and reflection.
  • Shrink doubts about your biggest midlife decisions with practical mindset management tools from global experts.
Week 4

Physical Transitions & Loss Transitions

It's time to confront the realities of midlife: physical changes, the "parting of ways" in relationships, and letting go. Whether you are navigating menopause, an empty nest, or the loss of a loved one, you will learn to turn these painful catalysts into profound personal growth.
  • Purge your inner ageist — the beliefs that are quietly limiting what you think is still possible
  • Navigate unexpected health changes, illness, and aging with greater confidence and self-compassion.
  • Process the complex emotions of loss and grief, honoring the healing power of community and ritual.
  • Set goals that honor your physical reality while expanding your vision for the decades to come.
Week 5

Professional Transitions

Whether you're retiring, changing careers, leaving your role as a stay-at-home parent, or pursuing a new venture, professional pivots require two things: curiosity and wisdom.
  • Navigate the financial and emotional realities of a career transition without losing your sense of identity.
  • Manage the inherent threats of career changes, using inspiring stories of resilience to emerge wiser and stronger.
  • Approach your trajectory with strategic optimism, leaning into the exploding trend of midlife entrepreneurship.
  • Create a clear, actionable roadmap for your next chapter of professional success.
Week 6

Your Signature TQ Transitional Intelligence Map & Compass

In our final week, we put it all together. You'll leverage everything you've learned to reassess your Transitional Quotient (TQ) and build a potent compass for the transitions you are in right now – and the ones yet to come.
  • Recognize your core power word and your most proactive behaviors during times of deep change.
  • Reframe the "Triple Threats" of midlife as useful data rather than impossible barriers.
  • Focus on new "Glimmers" that are calling your name.
  • Create a Signature TQ statement that will act as your personal guide for years to come.

Anchor your week with live, real-time connection.

Gather with your cohort and your guide, Kari Cardinale, for 90-minute live events once a week. This is your chance to ask questions, dive deeper into the material, and connect with other like-hearted individuals who are on a similar journey. These morning sessions are your dedicated time to find clarity and build momentum for the rest of your week.

When we meet:
Every Tuesday from October 13-November 17 at 8 am Pacific | 11 am Eastern

Lifetime access to recordings

Can’t make a live event? No problem. Every 90-minute group gathering will be recorded and available in your member dashboard within 24 hours – so you never fall behind. And with lifetime access, you can revisit to any session anytime, whether you need a fresh boost of clarity or a reminder that you’re not alone in this.

This is for you if…

  • You're navigating one or more major life transitions and feel overwhelmed trying to manage it all without a clear roadmap
  • You're stuck in the "messy middle" of a big life change – past the ending but unable to see what comes next – and you're ready for clarity
  • You feel like life is happening TO you rather than being created BY you, and you want to reclaim your sense of agency and direction
  • You're tired of white-knuckling your way through change and want to learn how to move through transitions with more ease, confidence, and even joy
  • You're ready to stop judging yourself for feeling anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed and want to understand why these feelings are normal – and how to work with them
  • You want to build skills that will serve you for decades, not just get through your current challenges
  • You're craving connection with others who truly understand what you're going through – people who won't minimize your struggles or tell you to "just get over it"
  • You're open to doing the inner work – journaling, reflection, honest self-assessment – that real transformation requires
  • You believe your best years can still be ahead of you, but you need the framework and community to help you get there

What past participants are saying

Having been part of many retreats and facilitated processes over the years, I feel qualified to name brilliance when I see it. The facilitation and teaching here has been masterful: a seamless dance between thought provocation, humor, energy, and compassion. I gained an incredible amount watching this work unfold 'in the zone' over six weeks. What I thought would be impossible in an online environment was navigated beautifully. A true professional and expert in every way.

Troy Hendrickson
Today's final session was extraordinary, and I'm so thankful that I did the virtual version right after the live version… Thank you for holding the space and grace during the sessions. You are excellent at your vocation.

Simon Reilly
I'm almost finished with the online transitions course, and I just wanted to say thank you so much… Spending the last 6 weeks with your group has really changed my attitude about feeling in transition. I had no idea that so many people feel this way at my age. It has really helped me to understand what I am grappling with and how normal it is.

Amy Reardon
It's been interesting to see and try to connect with my cohorts in the class. Most seem to be on the other side of a transition. I’m in the fire and knew I needed help and believe me, this course has been a lifeline. So grateful.

Eric Bolton
These courses have been life-changing. They have changed me in a way that nothing else has before.

Amy Treff
My biggest takeaway was almost palpable joy... We were astonished at what we learned.

Why this work matters now more than ever

The old script said: work hard, build a life, everything will fall into place.

But midlife doesn't follow a script.

Your career shifts unexpectedly. Your body changes in ways that challenge your self-image. Relationships evolve or end. Parents need care while kids still need support. The purpose that drove you for decades suddenly feels insufficient.

And when you find yourself stuck in the fog – anxious, overwhelmed, unsure which way is forward – you assume you're doing something wrong.

The truth is:
  • You're not lost. You're in transition – something nobody taught you how to navigate
  • Research shows major life transitions now occur every 12–18 months –  far more often than most people realize
  • You’re likely to navigate 40 or more significant transitions during your midlife years alone
  • Feeling stuck isn't a personal failure – it's a predictable stage of the journey
But here's what the research also tells us: midlife can be the most rewarding time of your life. Studies show that happiness actually increases from your mid-50s onward – reaching levels higher than any other life stage.

The key is learning how to navigate the transitions that get you there.

This work isn't about "getting through" your current challenges and hoping things calm down. It's about building Transitional Intelligence – a skill set that transforms how you experience change for the rest of your life, so you can move through the difficult passages to reach the extraordinary possibilities waiting on the other side.

You don't have to figure it out alone.

Build your personal navigation system for any future change

The most valuable thing about this program isn't solving your current transitions (though you will).

It's that you'll never face change the same way again.

The Transitional Quotient™ framework becomes part of how you see the world. Five years from now, when you're navigating retirement or a health challenge or an unexpected loss, you won't panic. You'll recognize where you are on the path, know what that stage requires, and trust your own ability to meet it.

These are skills you'll use for the rest of your life:

  • Retirement transitions – whether you're stepping down, ramping up something new, or redefining what "work" means
  • Health challenges – navigating illness, aging, or unexpected physical changes with resilience
  • Relationship evolution – whether partners, friends, or family dynamics shift in ways you didn't anticipate
  • Loss and grief – when you lose people you love or parts of your life you treasured
  • Purpose reinvention – as what brings meaning continues to evolve through your 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond
  • The unexpected – because life will bring changes you can't predict, and now you'll know how to meet them
And with 40+ transitions ahead in your midlife years alone, that's an investment that compounds every single time you use it.

What happens if I miss a live event?

No problem. Every 90-minute live event is recorded and added to your member dashboard within 24 hours. You can watch the recording when it works for you and revisit it anytime. You don’t need to attend live every week to benefit from the program.

How much time should I set aside each week?

A simple rhythm is:

  • Watch the weekly lesson on your schedule

  • Spend time with the workbook prompts

  • Check in with the community when useful

You can move through the material in whatever way that fits your real life.

How do I know if this is right for me?

This program is a fit if you’re moving through one or more major life transitions and want a clearer way to understand what’s happening. That might include: retirement or a career shift, caregiving, empty nesting, relationship changes, grief, or health.

What makes this different from other online courses?

This isn’t just a set of videos to watch alone. You’ll learn a practical framework, then apply it to your own life through reflection, assessment, live conversation, and community.

If you are in acute distress or need clinical support, this program can sit alongside professional care, but it should not replace it.

What do I get when I enroll?
