Ellen Langer

Ellen J. Langer is considered the “mother of mindfulness” and the first woman tenured in psychology at Harvard and author of eleven books, including the international bestseller Mindfulness and her latest work, The Mindful Body: Thinking Our Way to Chronic Health. She has received numerous prestigious awards, has authored over 200 research articles, and her pioneering experiments in social psychology have been featured in The New York Times Magazine’s “Year in Ideas” issue. She is a member of Harvard University's psychology department and resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
