Master the Middle: A Midlife Reset for Men
Is a partial scholarship for you?
We believe in making personal growth and education accessible to everyone, which is why we offer partial scholarships on a needs-aware basis for many of our programs.
These scholarships support individuals facing financial challenges, including — but not limited to — members of underrepresented communities. If financial stress might prevent you from attending a workshop, we encourage you to apply.
Partial scholarships, provided through the Association for Growth and Education, are limited to 2–3 seats per workshop and reviewed in the order received. We recommend applying as soon as possible, as scholarship decisions are typically confirmed 90–120 days before the workshop date.

Midlife can be messy – but it’s also the sweet spot where we finally start to figure life out.
You’ve worked hard to build a good life – career, family, reputation – but somewhere along the way, what was once exciting became exhausting.
You’re juggling more than ever, yet feeling less fulfilled. You’re successful by most metrics, but the fire that used to fuel you has fizzled out beneath the weight of responsibility and stress.
You used to wake up with purpose. Now you wake up with pressure.
Somewhere between success and fulfillment, something got lost – the freedom, the fun, the feeling of momentum.
And the scariest part? You’ve started to normalize it.
Meanwhile, the health advice is all over the place, leaving you more confused than ever.
Fasting. Hormones. Supplements. Peptides. Every expert contradicts the last one, and none of it accounts for your life — the stress you carry, the sleep you're not getting, the body you're actually living in right now.
So you're left guessing. Trying things that may or may not work. Wondering if you're too late, doing too little, or wasting time on the wrong approach entirely.
What if the problem isn't your effort — it's that no one taught you how midlife rewrites the rules for sleep, energy, stress, and recovery?
If you keep running on autopilot, nothing changes.
You’ll keep checking boxes, showing up, and doing what’s expected without ever feeling the payoff. The work wins keep coming, but the real satisfaction doesn’t.
You’re productive, not fulfilled. Successful, not energized.
Midlife can be a slow fade into comfort, or it can be the point where you decide to reset and actually start living again.
It’s time to stop settling and start living on your terms.
The life you crave is within your grasp. All you need is a framework that fits your reality and builds consistency, focus, and momentum –
That’s what Master the Middle delivers.
Co-led by Midlife Male founder Greg Scheinman, MEA CEO Derek Gehl, and MEA Faculty-in-Residence Ben Katt, this week in Baja is built for men in their 40s, 50s, and beyond ready to live by design, not default.
Greg, entrepreneur, athlete, and coach to high-performing men, isn’t teaching theory – he’s lived it. Two business exits, real-life struggles, and years of rebuilding led him to a proven operating system for thriving in midlife.
Derek brings MEA’s depth of facilitation and community, anchoring the week in honest conversation, real connection and practical tools for thriving in this chapter.
Ben, former pastor and the author of The Way Home: Discovering the Hero's Journey to Wholeness in Midlife adds his expertise in spiritual growth and personal transformation, guiding men to navigate change with greater self-awareness, purpose, and courage.
Together, they’ll guide you through Greg’s 5 Rules, 6 Fs, and 1 Question to build clear structure, daily habits, and purpose without losing the fun.
Get ready for mind, body, and spirit experiential reset that includes rucks, surfing, cold plunges, and reflection structured to shift you from drifting to driving your life again.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the fitness level required? I'm not an accomplished athlete.
You don’t need to be. The physical components (rucking, surfing, cold plunges) are designed to challenge you at your level, not break you. Greg’s approach is “simple beats extreme” – this isn’t about crushing workouts, it’s about reconnecting movement to mindset and building habits you’ll actually maintain. Whether you’re in peak shape or haven’t worked out consistently in years, you’ll find your entry point.
What exactly are the 5 Rules, 6 Fs, and 1 Question?
These are Greg’s proven frameworks for building a life that works. The 5 Rules give you non-negotiable daily standards. The 6 Fs (Family, Fitness, Finance, Food, Fashion, Fun) help you audit and optimize the key areas of your life. The 1 Question cuts through noise so you make better decisions, faster. You’ll learn all three frameworks and leave with a personal Midlife Action Plan showing exactly how to apply them.
I'm already successful. Why do I need this?
Because success and satisfaction aren’t the same thing. You’ve built something solid, but if it doesn’t feel as good as it looks – if you’re productive but not fulfilled, busy but not energized – that gap doesn’t close on its own. This week gives you the operating system to bridge it. You’re not starting over; you’re upgrading how you run your life.
Will this be a bunch of guys sitting around talking about feelings?
No. This is honest conversation paired with real action. Yes, there’s reflection and coaching, but it’s grounded in doing – morning movement, shared challenges, building your actual plan. The tone is direct, practical, and focused on what works. You’ll connect with other men who get it, but this isn’t therapy or a corporate bonding exercise. It’s work that matters.
What happens after the five days?
You leave with a Midlife Action Plan you can execute immediately – clear standards, daily habits, and a system that fits your real schedule. You’ll also join a community of men from the workshop who stay connected and keep each other accountable. Greg’s frameworks are designed to be lived, not just learned, so you’re not dependent on motivation or another workshop to maintain momentum.
Is this only for single guys or can I bring my partner?
This workshop is designed specifically for men and the unique challenges we face in midlife. The small group format and shared experiences work best with all participants navigating similar life stages. That said, the work you do here will directly benefit your relationships – many past participants report that their partners notice positive changes immediately when they return home.
