You work overtime and get paid 1.5 times your normal pay rate. America works overtime, and the country’s longevity grows by 1.5 times (from 1911, when it was 52, to 2011, when it was 78). Pretty miraculous, right?
But, maybe we’ve worked too much overtime as our longevity has suddenly started to decline (even before Covid). The stressed-out American longevity rate today has dropped to where it was in 1996. We’ve even fallen behind Croatia, Chile, Cuba, and China.
How might you increase your longevity by reducing your working overtime and increasing your living and loving overtime?
