Great Leadership is Human Leadership.

Our very own MEA alum Chris Murchison’s article on how to be a remarkable boss during this crazy time was featured in UC Berkeley’s prestigious Greater Good magazine last week.

Chris is a passionate advocate for positive workplace cultures and his five recommendations are fully-aligned with our MEA curriculum and ethos. Congrats, Chris!

This past Saturday, I got the opportunity to catch-up for an hour one-on-one with Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky who’s had a harrowing past few months given the state of the travel and hospitality business. Having been Brian’s mentor for more than seven year now and working alongside him nearly every day for four of those years, I’m proud of how he’s shown up as a leader during this difficult time as outlined in this Medium post.

I don’t care whether you’re in the B2B, B2C, C2C, or A2Z business, leadership is all about H2H, Human to Human. Gandhi said, “The greatness of humanity is not in being human, but in being humane.” This pandemic may have left you with bags under your eyes and emotional baggage under your arms. But, it’s the reputational baggage under your skin that will stay with you. Your reputation is one of the few things in your life that is portable across all your ages as the cosmic bellhop delivers it to your destination before you arrive.
