Nica Celly
Nica Celly is an artist, entrepreneur, and facilitator whose work explores the relationship between creative practice, embodiment, and self-trust.
Working at the intersection of visual art, writing, and contemplative practice, she guides experiences that invite participants to explore below the surface and into direct relationship with the body and landscape as sites of discovery. Her approach integrates breath, movement, and creative inquiry as pathways for both personal and collective awareness.
Alongside her creative work, Nica has built and sustained independent businesses for over 25 years, evolving from slow fashion into a branding practice where she collaborates with organizations, solopreneurs, and creators to distill complex ideas into clear language, strategy, and design.
She holds an MFA from California College of the Arts and an interdisciplinary BA from NYU’s Gallatin School, as well as a 1,008+ hour certification in yoga studies with her primary teacher, Janet Stone. Her residencies include the Jentel Foundation, Brush Creek, UCross, Headlands Center for the Arts, and the Vermont Studio Center.
Originally from Philadelphia, Nica now lives and works between Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico, and West County Sonoma, California, where she continues to explore how subtle body awareness and creative inquiry can reconnect us to both inner and outer landscapes.
