A brain & body-based path to resilience, healing, and renewal for anyone grieving a life-altering loss
Grief is something we all experience. Yet there’s no road map that shows us how to live with it. Join trauma therapist Meghan Jarvis, MA, LICSW for a four-day exploration of how to process the effects of grief on your mind, heart, and body – and create your own rhythm for moving forward.
When your world has been rocked, you need something solid to hold onto.
Loss hits in so many forms.
When you lose something deeply important to you – a loved one, relationship, role, your health or sense of identity – everything changes.
Your nervous system… your sense of time… your energy… your sense of place in the world – all of them are thrown wildly off course.
You may look like you’re holding it together.
But inside, it’s all raw edges, exhaustion, and unanswered questions.
The good news is, while no one else can do the grieving for you, you don’t have to navigate it alone. And there are tools and practices that can lighten the load.
Join trauma therapist Meghan Riordan Jarvis in Santa Fe for a powerful four-day exploration of how to mitigate the impact of loss on your mind, body, and heart.
You’ll leave with a personalized grief practice rooted in what soothes, strengthens, and steadies you, so you can move forward with more clarity, resilience, and self-trust.

“Grief is a daily experience — and it deserves daily care.”
“A glorious depiction of what it means to be human in this world. Meghan Riordan Jarvis expertly expands the conversation about trauma, both for the patient and the clinician. This smart, warm, and relatable book challenged my assumptions about what it means to care for ourselves and others. I know it will do the same for everyone who reads these pages.”
Claire Bidwell Smith
"Grief therapist Meghan Riordan Jarvis anticipates and answers all the questions grievers (and the people who support them) might have – about what’s happening to them, why it’s happening, and what actions they can take to move forward through their grief. She pairs scientific explanations with personal stories from herself and her clients, and offers up a clear and compassionate guide to help the griever build their own personal grief practice. "

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have experienced a recent loss to attend?
Not at all. This workshop is for anyone navigating grief — whether your loss happened recently or years ago. We also welcome those moving through ambiguous or non-death losses: divorce, health changes, empty nesting, career shifts, and more.
Will I have to talk about my grief in front of the group?
No one is required to share. This retreat is designed to honor where you are – whether that means speaking, listening, journaling, or simply being present. Meghan offers gentle guidance for those who want to share, and full permission for those who don’t.
What if I don’t think my loss is “big enough” to be grieved?
Grief isn’t a competition and it doesn’t require a specific kind of loss to be valid.
If something in your life has shifted and you’re feeling untethered, stuck, or emotionally worn out, that’s reason enough to be here. This retreat welcomes all kinds of loss – death and non-death alike – and honors your experience exactly as it is.
What if I’m not sure how to describe what I’m grieving?
That’s completely normal. Some people arrive with a sense that something has changed, but can’t quite name it. This workshop helps you gently explore what’s asking for your attention – at your own pace.
Is this a therapy group?
No – while Meghan is a licensed therapist, this is an educational and experiential workshop, not a clinical treatment group. You’ll receive trauma-informed support, tools, and practices rooted in evidence-based approaches to grief, regulation, and healing.
What’s included in my registration?
Your tuition covers four days of programming, all materials, gourmet meals and snacks, and beautiful accommodations at MEA’s Santa Fe campus. The only additional costs are travel and any personal purchases.
What if I’m not “a group person”?
You’re not alone – many participants feel the same way at first. Meghan creates a safe, pressure-free environment where participation is always optional. You’ll be invited to engage in ways that feel authentic and supportive to you.
