Dan Zigmond


Dan Zigmond is a Zen teacher and executive coach dedicated to helping people reconnect with presence, meaning, and what truly matters in their lives. For three decades, he worked as a technology executive and data scientist in Silicon Valley, leading teams at Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Microsoft, and a variety of startups. As a coach, he has worked with everyone from Fortune 100 executives to solo entrepreneurs. He teaches meditation regularly on the faculty of the Esalen Institute and serves as a trustee of both the San Francisco Zen Center and Naropa University. In 2025, he became one of the few Americans recognized as an Ōshō by Japanese Zen authorities. His most recent book is Buddha’s Office: The Ancient Art of Waking Up While Working Well (Running Press, 2019).
