The Wisdom Inside You

“Self-deception often arises because you are afraid of your own intelligence and afraid you won’t be able to deal properly with your life. You are unable to acknowledge your innate wisdom. Instead, you see wisdom as a monumental thing outside yourself.” - Chögyam Trungpa

Is this your life or someone else’s, and are you responsible for it? Whose permission is needed to truly know what you already know?

Wisdom sounds so abstract, only available to the Yoda’s and Gandolf’s of the world. And, yet, it’s as simple as having an expertise in the conduct and meaning of life. And, that expertise often comes from the School of Hard Knocks. In theory, the more mistakes you make, the wiser you are. But, the problem is most of us don’t learn from our mistakes.

Our painful life lessons are the raw material for our future wisdom. How are you cultivating and harvesting that wisdom to create a better life?

A few times a year, I teach my favorite workshop “Owning Wisdom” which always fills up. If you’re curious about how to unlock the wisdom inside of you, check out the following dates: June 23-28 (Santa Fe), Sept 15-20 (Santa Fe), and Oct 13-18 (Baja). Your wisdom is as unique as your fingerprints. Let’s do some finger painting with that wisdom to create a life well lived.
