This Summer, If You’re Not Barefoot, You’re Overdressed.

If you’re a last minute vacation planner, we’ll let you in on a secret. MEA’s newly-expanded beachfront Baja campus is open this summer for our DIY programming of Sabbatical Sessions from July 17 through October 2. And, we have quite a line-up of talent that you can tap into.

First off, what is a Sabbatical Session? “SabSesh” offers spacious, self-curated stays with optional MEA programming focused on wisdom, wellness and regeneration, all within a community of like-minded folks. It’s all-inclusive including the alcohol. Think adult summer camp where your new friends are already waiting for you.

Who does it appeal to?

  • Wellness Vacationers who tap into our yoga, meditation, massage, shaman, mountain bikes, surfing lessons, and all that this natural wonderland has to offer.
  • Solo Travelers who love the safety of this community, the three gourmet meals served to them on a terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and the nearby “Pueblo Magico” Todos Santos.
  • MEA-Curious Folks who aren’t ready to book a weeklong workshop, but want to tap into our “long life learning” programming and connect with MEA alums who represent half of our SabSesh guests.
  • Remote Workers and Digital Nomads who stay for weeks and have the extra motivation to stay for months this summer as book a month and stay the second month free, available for Deluxe, Premium and Ultra Premium rooms (use the code SSM2 when booking).

What kind of teachers will be on campus?

July and August will have a health and wellness focus and September will focus on indigenous wisdom. London-based Kay Scorah, who’s had a profound impact on creating the MEA curriculum, will lead most of the summer while South Africa-based Jonathan Joshua, who has a big global following, will facilitate balance, healing and physical performance by teaching movement (re) education and exercise. Of course, we’ll also have our own mindfulness teacher Teddi Dean and fitness teacher Caitlin Allen teaching certain weeks as well. In September, imagine doing a week with our shaman Saul Kuperstein learning how to “become your own shaman.” That whole month will be led by two of our Activists in Residence Marlon Guarino and Maria Lorenia Parada Ampudia. You can opt-in or -out of any of this. How many vacation experiences offer this breadth of learning experiences?

Here’s a short video of me showing some of the new parts of our campus and talking about why I love SabSesh. We hope to see you this summer!
