What do you do when you don’t know what to do?
Most of us spend our lives trying to keep uncertainty at bay.
We plan, predict, analyze, and prepare, all to convince ourselves that we know what the future holds and are ready for it.
Yet despite our best efforts, life throws us unexpected curveballs – upending our careers, our relationships, our health, even our sense of purpose in ways we didn’t expect.
When this happens, our default response is to run from uncertainty rather than embrace the unknown and try to work within it.
But running from uncertainty doesn’t make it disappear.
It just keeps us stuck – repeating old patterns, clinging to what’s familiar, mistaking control for safety. Over time, our resistance hardens into rigidity – and like a tree that refuses to bend with the wind, we risk cracking under the very forces that could have made us stronger.
What you need isn’t unyielding certainty – it’s the ability to stay upright when the ground shifts.
To meet what’s unfolding without losing yourself – and roll with what’s coming instead of bracing yourself against it.

Losing Everything to Find Purpose: Aithan Shapira’s Midlife Shift
The good news is, uncertainty isn’t the enemy. It’s the invitation.
An invitation to evolve – to see differently, think more fluidly, and rediscover your natural capacity to adapt. And the way we do that is through creativity.
Creativity is what allows us to stay flexible, curious, and responsive when the outcome isn’t clear. It’s not about having artistic talent – it’s about learning to see differently, experiment freely, and make meaning in motion.
This is the work of Aithan Shapira – acclaimed artist, MIT Sloan School of Management lecturer, and founder of TILT, a leadership transformation firm that helps global executives and teams develop true adaptability. For more than two decades, Aithan has explored how creative practice fuels human development, guiding leaders, artists, and organizations to thrive in uncertainty.
Now you can learn from him directly in an intimate three-day workshop co-facilitated by MEA’s beloved Chip Conley – and reconnect with the creative instincts that make growth possible and empower you to respond to change not with fear, but with confidence and agility.
During your three days at our luxury retreat center on the ranch, you will…
Reframe uncertainty as a creative force – seeing it not as a threat to stability, but as raw material for growth, innovation, and renewal.
Do the inner work that strengthens your outer work – growing your ability to stay grounded and curious even when clarity hasn’t arrived.
Learn sustainable practices that build adaptability – and make action, collaboration, and leadership more responsive, agile, and effective.
Experiment your way forward – through guided exercises that turn creative principles into practical tools for navigating transitions and decisions.
Reconnect with your inner compass – so you can lead your life from a place of confidence, discernment, and trust in your own capacity to evolve.
Experience creativity as a living practice – one that deepens resilience, widens perspective, and reawakens your sense of aliveness in uncertain times.

Is For You If…
Meet Your Faculty
If you want to make someone creative, make them more uncertain. If you’re certain, there’s no need to change – but the moment you’re faced with uncertainty, you have an opportunity there: an opportunity to make a creative choice.”

The Art of Change: Creativity as Fuel for Growth in Uncertain Times
The program was spectacular. It really surpassed my expectations. I was really surprised about how the course was curated. There was such a warm intensity and personal touch to it.
I experienced MEA as a newly diagnosed multiple myeloma cancer patient, and as a result of the things I’ve learned - I’ve banished the anxiety of being a cancer victim, am in remission, and living with a newfound energy and purpose.
Just know how grateful I am for the joy fuel you all put in my rocket ship. When I want to feel loved or just need a good smile I can think of my time at MEA, which came at the perfect time to encourage me on my journey. Thank you!
