Cultivating
Purpose
in Changing Times
A Virtual Masterclass | July 16-17, 2025
Rediscover meaning.
Reclaim your narrative.
Evolve with Intention.
When the future feels unclear, let purpose be your compass
We’re living in a time of accelerated transformation and uncertainty. The ground beneath us – culturally, economically, even spiritually – is shifting.
And for many of us, so is the ground within.
Careers that once defined us are ending or evolving. Roles we’ve carried for decades – parent, provider, partner – are being rewritten. The future feels open, but not always clear.
In moments like these, it’s natural to ask:
Where do I go from here? And what truly matters now?
These are questions of purpose.
Not the kind of purpose that comes wrapped in a job title or life goal – but the kind that acts as a beacon in the storm and helps us move forward with intention and integrity.
It’s not about chasing the next big thing. It’s about becoming more aligned with who you really are – and what the world might need from you now.
That’s where this masterclass begins.
Introducing
Cultivating Purpose
in Changing Times
A Virtual Masterclass
Cultivating Purpose in Changing Times is a two-day virtual masterclass that blends inspired reflection with practical tools to help you reconnect with what matters most now — and begin to shape your next chapter with clarity, courage, and intention.
You’ll be guided through three interactive sessions that build on each other:
Day 1
Rethinking and Reclaiming Purpose
Session 1: The You That's Emerging
July 16 | 8 am Pacific | 11 am Eastern
Explore how your identity is evolving beyond the roles you’ve played or the goals you’ve pursued. Uncover the “success scripts” you’ve inherited — and decide which ones you’re ready to release.
Session 2: From Success to Significance
July 16 | 3 pm Pacific | 6 pm Eastern
Shift your focus from doing to becoming. Reflect on where your meaning lives now — in your relationships, creativity, contribution, or spiritual life. Discover how purpose evolves through seasons, and how to listen for what’s next.
Day 2
Designing What Comes Next
Session 3: Your Personal Roadmap for Flourishing
July 17 | 8 am Pacific | 11 am Eastern
Turn reflection into forward motion. You’ll be guided through the Flourishing in Midlife framework — exploring four pillars: Meaning. Belonging. Contribution. Vitality. You’ll then craft your own Purpose Roadmap and name a small, inspired next step.
In just two days, you’ll:
If you’ve been craving clarity, renewal, and a sense of direction in this time of change, you’re in the right place.
This masterclass
is for you if...
You’ve achieved success by most measures, but feel like something deeper is calling
You’re asking big questions about meaning, identity, and what’s next
You feel unmoored from old roles and rhythms, and want to find your new center
You crave a sense of direction that feels authentic, soul-aligned, and energizing
You’re done with living on autopilot – and ready to move forward with intention
You want tools, practices, and community to help you navigate change with clarity and heart
Brought to you by MEA, the World’s First Midlife Wisdom School
MEA (Modern Elder Academy) is on a mission to reframe aging and help people thrive in midlife and beyond. Our science-backed workshops and programs are designed to give you the tools, practices, and support to navigate midlife challenges and find joy, meaning, and fulfillment in the second half of life.
Founded by entrepreneur, author, and world-renowned hospitality leader Chip Conley in 2017, MEA’s proven methodology was developed in collaboration with academics from Stanford, Harvard, UC Berkeley, and Yale, who have dedicated themselves to understanding modern midlife.
Together we have developed and refined experiential tools and practices that combine the social science of longevity and the art of intentional living to help people in midlife curate a second half of life that’s as joyful, exciting, and meaningful as it is long.
