MEA’s Powerful Lineup of Faculty in the First Half of 2026

November 13, 2025
.

As I prepare to teach with writer Anne Lamott and her husband Neal Allen next week in Santa Fe, I’ve gotten a chance to ruminate about all the well-known guest faculty we’re hosting in the first half of next year at MEA (the second half of the year has a number of MEA favorites like Pico Iyer, Martha Beck, and Krista Tippett). Most of these workshops will sell-out, so you ought to act soon if you want to join us.

Rob Bell, Your Life as a Creative Act (June 19-24 in Baja) Rob is one of the most interesting people in the world as evidenced by being one of the TIME magazine 100 Most Influential People and you’ll get a flavor of him on my podcast episode

Ricky Williams (now known as Errick Miron), Evolving Identity, Learning How to Let Go (February 8-12 in Santa Fe). Heisman Trophy winner turned world-famous astrologer, Ricky is a deep human and role model for evolving your consciousness as evidenced by my podcast episode with him.

Elizabeth Gilbert and Tererai Trent, Awakening Magic (February 9-14 in Baja) Our most popular workshop of each year, this is not to be missed, especially now that Liz’s new book is out which she talks about on my podcast episode.

Mark Nepo, Creativity in the Second Half of Life (March 2-7 in Baja) Consistently, one of the top-rated guest faculty members, Mark is one of Oprah’s favorite living poets and a brilliant life guide. My podcast episode with him comes out this Friday.

David Whyte, Leading from Soul (March 26-29 in Santa Fe) and Crossing the Unknown Sea (March 29-April 2 in Santa Fe). Speaking of poets, David may be one of the best-known poets in the world who also has a unique point of view about midlife. We’re lucky to have him for two workshops.

Dan Pink, What Should You Do With the Rest of Your Life? (April 12-16 in Santa Fe) One of my favorite authors and thinkers who’s in the midst of his own “midlife chrysalis.” Check out my podcast episode with Dan.

Jerry Colonna, Reboot: Leadership and the Art of Growing Up (May 4-8 in Santa Fe) Venture capitalist turned Buddhist coach, Jerry is my brother from another mother who is known for his deep, penetrating workshops as evidenced by this podcast episode with me.

Ari Weinzweig, Radical Wisdom: The Natural Laws of Business and a Meaningful Life (May 24-27 in Santa Fe). For more than a quarter century, Ari has been my entrepreneurial muse based upon the Zingerman’s family of businesses that he’s created. I love that we’ll be teaching together as we’re two of the only business CEO’s who’ve written nearly a dozen or more books.

Ivy Ross and Susan Magsamen, Your Brain on Art: Born to Create, Wired to Flourish (June 25-28 in Santa Fe). Ivy’s and Susan’s bestselling book spawned a movement focused on how art and creativity are, possibly, even more essential to our quality of life than the traditional sciences.

Greg Louganis, Evolving Your LGBTQ+ Identity and Purpose as You Age (July 6-11 in Baja). Greg was a hero of mine based upon his poise and courage (and good looks) and I’m thrilled that we’ll be teaching and hanging out in our three MEA pools in Baja as well as in the ocean.

There are all kinds of other amazing teachers and workshops on the calendar for next year beyond these, so check out our workshop page
