Pent-Up to Ascent-Up?
To be “pent-up” is to feel “closely confined or held back.” Perfect pandemic prose! We are pent-up, aren’t we? To “ascent-up” is “the act of rising or mounting upward.” That describes our post-pandemic aspirations.
The last two years have been a helluva rollercoaster ride. Many of us are throwing our hands in the air with glee as we propel down the backside of this Omicron slide, hopefully, on the way to the next ride: the endemic.
